Italian Egg Rolls


  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup green pepper chopped (optional)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 lb of Gunzey’s Hot or Sweet Sausage (4 sausages) removed from the casing
  • 2 (10 ounce) pkgs of frozen spinach thawed and drained
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 (14 ounce) pkg of egg roll wrappers
  • olive oil for deep frying
  • pizza sauce for dipping


In skillet saute the onion and peppers in olive oil until done to your liking. remove and set aside. In the same pan fry the sausage out of the casing. When the sausage is done add the onion and peppers. Add the spinach, cheeses and garlic powder mix well. Top each wrapper with 3Tbs of mixture roll up by following the egg roll wrappers package instructions. Heat 3-4 inches of olive oil in a pan to deep fry the egg rolls until golden brown a couple at a time. You can also bake them at 375 degrees turning ever so often until crispy. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
