Sausage Stuffed Shells
16 to 18 large shells 1 lb of Gunzey’s Hot or Sweet Sausage (4 sausages) removed from casing 1 tsp garlic minced 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes 1 cup frozen spinach thawed and drained 1/2 cup ricotta cheese 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 1 jar of either tomato sauce or alfredo sauce
Preheat oven at 350 degree.
Cook your shells to package instructions. Fry the sausage and garlic. Add the tomatoes and spinach. Remove from the heat let cool. Add all of the cheeses to the mixture, combine well. Stuff each shell with the sausage mixture. Arrange the shells in a baking dish when finished I add my favorite jar of sauce sometimes I use Alfredo sauce and sometimes I use tomato sauce top with more mozzarella cheese if you desire bake until heated through or bubbly. You can also just top with cheese and bake in the oven without the extra sauce.
