Tomato Cream Sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) can of crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 lb of Gunzey’s Hot Sausage (2 sausages) removed form the casing
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 tablespoon of basil paste
Remove the sausage from the casing fry in a sauce pan. When sausage is cooked add the crushed tomatoes bring to a boil, and add the heavy cream. Add the basil paste to taste you may like more I sometimes also add parmesan cheese right to the sauce. Serve over your favorite kind of pasta. I also use this sauce with bacon instead of the sausage to switch it up a bit.
